re: shutdown at welcome page

by ThumbsUp2 In reply to windows xp welcome page

Forgive me for asking, but I haven't seen the welcome page in so long, I forgot what it looked like.

Just to make sure, are you looking at the pillowey welcome page where you click the username and a password box appears for you to type in? Or, are you looking at the square white box that will allow you to change the username to login? If it's the latter, you click OPTIONS and the shutdown button appears.

If you're looking at the pillowey version of the welcome screen, I don't remember a place ON that screen TO shut down? Of course, my memory isn't what it used to be.

I can't think of the option being on the "pillowey" screen (good description!).

Wherever your memory is, mine's keepin' it company!
