Windows2000 and a msconfig

Hello,
I have been wandering about windows2000 where it doesn't have msconfig now i know there is services in Admin tools that has some but not all i have been recommended to some downloads to use like startup control panel and this and that, but i was just wandering if there was in fact anything in win2000 as a substitute for msconfig I need an actually program thats already in win2000 not a download or sysedit :).

There is no exact equivilant to msconfig. If you are wanting to see what is in your startup, that is in the admin tools /computer management/system info/software environment/startup programs. If there are speciific things you are wanting to do, write a follow up comment with the details.

There's no msconfig in w2k, but there are alternatives.

You can use the 98 or XP version, see:

or:

You can configure individual services to start automatically, manually or disable them in:
computer management --> services and applications --> services

You can use third party software:

copy msconfig.exe from a Win98/ME machine and put it in \winnt\system32 Then, when you hit Start/Run type in msconfig and hit enter the program will run.
