Windows98 domain logon problem

By netadmin ·
I installed Active Directory on a Windows2000 server and it is now a domain controller. I have windows 98 computers that need to authenticate to it. I can logon as administrator from any Windows98 computer, but I can not logon with any other user account I setup. Why is this?

How did you create the user accounts? Try the following: go to the AD users and computers, click onto a user account, reset its password and then go back to the user computer and try to log back on.
I don't know how you set the Network on each user computers but I assume that it's ok. Because you have W9x clients it's also a good choice to install a WINS server (install and start the WINS service on the DC server).
