My friend has a Windows ME computer at his home and everytime it reboots he gets the message saying that it can’t find or load the file WININIT.EXE. The message comes up on a black screen before Windows loads. It is too late to use the restore function in ME. He also gets the message that is can’t find a file called “/P” once Windows is loaded. Are these problems related and is there anything that can be done to fix this problem besides having to redo the computer?
