Hi, I have been building and repairing PC’s since 1998, and this one error my fiance is having has me stumped. Under Win Me My fiance has a Linksys LNE100TX Fast ethernet adapter, when I run winipcfg it comes up as a pci bus master adapter, I have tried updating drivers and updating system bios, still the same. Her internet connection is Road runner High Speed, with the ARRIS telephony modem connected to a Belkin Wireless router. She is connected directly with a CAT6 cable and can only download at a max of 90kb a second, I am connected wirelessly and download up to 768kb a second in another room. My laptop is a Dell inspiron 2200 with WinXP home sp2. Any ideas on how I can improve the desktop speed and properly detect the ethernet card?
