Winnt 4.0 SP6 startup problem

By mstark ·
After the upgrading of a NT 4.0 based PC @ my work to Explorer 5.5 and running the SP6 again. The following screen continues to come up on the desktop at the end of startup's completion: Winnt\System32's folder in explorer and it's contents. There are 7 other PC's with exact same images and installs and they do not incurr this problem!
Has anyone got any ideas?

Use Registry Editor to view the following two Windows NT registry keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Verify that all the values in these keys do not contain any incorrect, incomplete, or null entries (such as "").

See here for more info and examples:
