WinNT domain and visitors

by gigelul . Updated 23 years ago

I’m working for a multinational company. In each country are a network and an IT manager/Network Administrator.
At this time we don’t have any link between these networks and I don’t know details about the other networks from company. Each networkhas own domain and Internet access.

Many times we have business visitors from our company, which come with notebooks that are configured from their network. They need Internet access and want to transfer files (sometimes large files) with our users in different location in our company area. All of them have NIC cards on their notebooks, but don’t have admin rights. The OS on these notebooks are Win2k or WinXP.

About our network:
-WinNT 4.0 domain
-WinNT 4.0 workstations
-Linux server for Internet access
-Switched network in Administrative building
-HUB based network in 6 distance location
-The connection between Administrative building and the distance locations is made with FO
-We have the possibility to connect additional equipments to network in every location/room.
-Floppy drive is not used

I need yours help to find flexible solutions to give them a secure and temporary access to our network.
