    WinNT Server v4 RAS (Internet access)

    I have setup RAS on our NT Server, remote users can connect but cannot access the Internet….what am I missing…what are my options to getting RAS to provide remote users Internet access?

      You are missing some form of Internet Proxy server. Microsoft has a Proxy Server as part of Microsofts “Back Office” suite. There are other proxy servers available, but I am only familiar with Microsofts. RAS is only meant to provide remote users access to your network, so there is no option I know of to provide remote users internet access aside from the instalation of a proxy server.

      The first answer is quite correct, I will only add that for miminal overhead, you should only use TCP/IP for DUN. Disable all other protocols in the RAS settings of both the clients and server. NetBIOS will be needed, however, if you plan on accessing your “local” network (the immediate network that your server is attached to).
