I have 2 NT workstations that have Asus P3BF motherboards with BIOS 1004. Neither MB will recognize any PnP PCI NIC card inserted in any of the PCI slots. The PC’s have removable drives for use with different OS’s. With Win 95/98/2000, the NIC card drivers see the NIC card and connect to the network, with NT the driver installs but does not make a connection to the card. Running ipconfig confirms this. Can’t get any help from Asus. Tried all slots, latest drivers, installing Service Pack beforeand after driver, nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? Downloaded the new BIOS update but don’t want to flash the BIOS unless its the last resort.
