how do i view the winnt folder.i believe it has the ntldr,osloader,boot.ini,and ntdetect files

The boot.ini is right on the C: drive. The other OS files you mention are MS hidden, they won't even show up. They REALLY don't want anyone playing with those files. They really wouldn't be that much good to you as for looking at source as they are compiled files in "C" probably with some assembler. Sorry.

In Windows Explorer, go to Tools>Folder Options. On the View tab choose the "Show hidden files and folders" option.
(While you're at it remove the check mark from "Hide file extensions for known file types". That's the MS attempt to dumb down the system.

If you want to see the hidden files, go to windows explorer and click on the Tools menu, then click the Folder Options. Once in the Folder Options select the View Tab. You will see a list of Advanced Seetings, look for the Hidden files and Foldersand check the Show Hidden files and Folders. You can also take the check off the Hide protected Operating System files also, this will allow you to see even more. Just don't delete anything the Operating system needs. I hope this helps!
