Winnt.sif Not Being Read

By sharphillips ·
I am upgrading 30 computers to Windows XP. I created the Winnt.sif file and put it on a floppy. Then, following the directions in the XP Resource Kit, I booted from the XP CD and inserted the floppy as soon as the computer started to boot. Unfortunately, the winnt.sif file is being ignored. I really don't want to have to do an attended installation on 30 computers. I can't use the option of running a bat file from the floppy, because I want to reformat the drives and according to the documentation on the XP CD you can only do this if you boot from the CD.

Any suggestions?
