WINNT\SYSTEM32 folder

By larry_ksiez ·
does anyone know how to stop the WINNT\System32 folder from opening up on the desktop after logging-in? It may be some sort of registry edit.

Q. Every time I start NT, explorer is started showing the system32 directory.

A. This is caused by an incorrect programcall at startup, search the areas a program can be started from for an incorrect entry, these are listed at An Application keeps starting every time I start NT.

Q. An Application keeps starting every time I start NT.

A. Applications can be started from a number of places

a.. In the Startup Folder for the current user, and all user group
b.. In the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServicesOnce
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunHKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServicesOnce
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows,
run and Load keys
The easiest way would be to search the registry using REGEDIT on the application name
