I recently installed winrar, and with that, I uninstalled it as it caused problems with my windows (xp pro).
My new problem is that when i right click on my desktop and go new>>folder>> …. I am missing the compressed (zipped) folder option.
Why did winrar do this to my system and how can i get back that option.
My other problem is, when i right click on a file and choose send to>>compressed (zipped) folder, i get this message …

be compressed (zipped) folders.
Currently this is not the case. Do
you want to designate compressed
(zipped) folders as the application
for handling ZIP files? Yes/No.
I always say yes to this option, however, windows will not zip the file in to a new zip folder and I still don’t have the option of creating a new zip folder.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated !
