WINS and DHCP

I was wondering if a NT4 workstation will pick up a WINS adress automatically via DHCP or does the WINS adress for a NT4 workstation client have to be put in manually, I have noticed that the WIN 2k clients will pick up the new WINS adress from the DHCP but the NT4 clients will not
