WINS crossing subnets

By dmackley ·
I have a WINS server in the DMZ resolving our web servers. I also have two WINS servers on my internal network. I have a push pull between the three, but I am only getting a partial sync. So when your browsing across the subnet you can only reach some of the servers in the DMZ some of time. Here's the kicker only 2000 proffesional clients are having this browsing problem, Windows 98 and NT clients are having no problem browsing.

Any help would be much appreciated,
Thanks!!!

WINS crossing subnets

Check on the master browser entry. I was having problems with win2k pro browsing the network and found that my master browser was tombstoned. So I made a static entry for the master broswer, (the address of my wins server) and I could again see the whole network. Wins is a funny thing and win2k doesn't default to it (it defaults to DNS or DDNS). I used a win2k wins admin tool to look at my winnt4 wins server. GOOD LUCK!
