Wins2000 Backup to a SCSI CDRW Drive?

Using wins 2000, Is it possible to do a backup onto a Yamaha SCSI cdrw 8x8x24? (Yamaha CRW 8824S)

When I request backup to be stored onto a cdrw on the Yamaha SCSI cdrw drive (F)

system does not seem to recognise the drive, even though I can read cds and upload cds from the drive.
(system reply is F is not a valid Drive or you do not have access)

Wondered if it was possible to do a backup onto a cdrw, and what is a possible solution to the issue?
