We have Windows NT 4.0 SP4 workstations. We created a Winstall package to install Winsock. The package worked fine a most of the workstations. On one of them, it screwed it up pretty bad. This computer had SP6. After the Winstall package was installed I rebooted. When It came back up I got an error that the dchpcsvr.dll failed to initialize. No domain controller was found. If I give the computer a static IP it will log on to the network but can not surf the Internet. If I go to a command prompt and try to ping I get…Unable to initialize Windows sockets interface. error code 183. Any ideas?
