Greetings!
Our web site has several web email forms that make use of CDONTS that have been working just fine. Recently however, they have failed and I have error messages in both the Badmail and Queue folders with
Connection to company.com failed. No Ip address found from servername.company.com-IP address
email@company.com
Serer received Winsock error Host not found
What happened? The only two items I can think of are:
(1) I changed some permissions to deny specific user access. But I undid these changes with the same Winsock error.
(2) Our Exchange server went down and one of the components was reinstalled.
We use a DNS and have both an “A” and an “MX” record pointing to the proxy server.
What could have gone wrong and what can I do to fix it?
