Ok I have client who has been running a 2003 Server with a Windows XP Pro clients for nearly a year now with little to no trouble. That is until recently.
They had hired another employee that required them to purchase another xp pro workstation. No biggie right? After adding the user and assigning the appropriate rights/privileges we obtain the following error upon logging in.
Can not find or locate Domain Controller....
which is odd as we can log in locally to the machine and browse the domain by logging in domainname\administrator
I have tried shutting off MS TCPIP Firewall to no avail.
Any insights, thoughts, suggestion?

Locate the Computer Accoount for the workstation having an issue.
Right click and choose Reset.
Have the workstation rejoin the domain.
Most likely the computer has not properly joined the domain.
In the event, the computer joins the domain, but you still cannot log in:
Open a DOS session.
Type the command:
IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS
Then type the command:
IPCONFIG /REGISTERDNS
Depending on the location of the domain controller and it's load, it may take the 15 minutes as stated in the window for the entry to be logged to the DNS tables.
Reboot the system.
At this point, you should be able to login to the domain.
Thanks BFilmFan....worked just fine. With that said, that was just about stupid. But as long as it works in the end, I guess I can move along to the next project. Aganin thanks
