WinXP logoff script

By dwatson8791 ·
One my users has gotten a logoff script on his machine that is not supposed to be there.

I have looked in group policy editor, but there are no logoff scripts there.

This script is going out and looking for a server that was at one of our client locations, of course not finding it, and failing. It then displays a splash screen with the client's coporate logo and network information.

Any clues where to begin looking for this script?

why don't you just search for *.bat files or *.vbs whatever scripts that you may be using there.
I think it could also be in windows scheduler for a particular event, IE: shutting down causes this script to run.

Post back if you have any other Q's.

Something else to try

Have a look in the Registry to see if there is anything in there you may find that is being called. You could even try a System Restore prior to connecting to the Client Network.
