Microsoft says when I attempt to re-register that I can no longer use my valid, paid to Microsoft for, product key because I’ve maxed it out? What is this? Why is Microsoft jack’n me up, and making me a criminal, if I don’t come up with $130.00 and proof of purchase?

I download and test software as a hobby and sometimes need to reformat and reload windows C: because even with good Reg editing and drive cleaning things get pretty cluttered. I’ve been using this copy of WinXP Home since 2001-2002.
