We have three locations which access a Windows 2003 server using Terminal Services. The server does not reside in any of these locations. Each office shares an HP printer (what I am calling the “local” printer). In some cases I have had to edit the registry to redirect the computers to see the local printer in their office. Here is the dilema. Some of our users are able to see printers in the other offices and print documents directly to them while others can only see the printers associated with their computers. Does anyone know why this is occurring? I have been told that we should not be able to print to other offices’ printers but we have been for months. My biggest problem right now is that one of the computers being used cannot see another office and she needs to be able to print to that office’s printer. Any ideas?
