Wired LAN (with printer), Wireless Internet connection in same PC conflict

by iammoniker . Updated 18 years, 9 months ago

We have Windows XP on a PC networked with a printer through a router/switch box (no internet connection here, only using this box – Linksys BEFSR81 – as the switch for the PC and printer. It is working fine.

We want to access the internet through a wireless card also in the PC. We cannot get both to work simultaneously – if we disable the wireless internet connection then we can print. If we disable the LAN connection then we can get access to the Internet via wireless setup but cannot print.

We also need to access the LAN printer from a notebook (centrino) which will connect to the switch via cable and get internet access via wireless (working).

We do not have control of the Wirelesss router, only connectivity to it.

We would like to find out the best way to get everything working simultaneously. Your assistance is greatly appreciated (Thanking you all in advance!)
