Wireless Broadband Security

By Hardware_Jinx ·
Just bought a notebook for the first in my life.
Using a Vodafone USB wireless broadband modem for internet.
Notice there is no hardware firewall as in the normal (ADSL)router/modem setup.
What is the best firewall to use?
Does the following package provide sufficient security protection?
My system;
OS: Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1
Firewall: default Vista firewall
Anti-virus: AVG Free
Spyware: Windows Defender, Spybot search & Destory and Ad-Aware

I know what I would do first

And that would be to ditch all that so called protection and go for an all in one internet security package, you get what you pay for in this world and I for one wouldn't dare connect my computer to the internet with any of those programmes "protecting" it.
The best one I have found although it pains me to say it is PC Tools Spyware Doctor with AntiVirus.
I have issues with them about vnc software conflicts but otherwise the protection is great and so far I have had no problems
