Wireless browsing to a networked device
I’ve recently purchased a NAS box into which I’ve installed a 4Tb drive. At the present moment it is networked to my router via a hub, and has its own internal IP address - I’ve set up an address reservation on the router (which is DHCP enabled) never changes.
My issue is this: from my desktop (also hardwired to the router through the same hub) can browse the NAS box with no issues. However if I try to browse to it over WiFi from either my laptop or my phone I’m unable to hit the internal IP.
Would it make any difference if I had the NAS box networked directly into the router rather than going through a hub? Or do I need to do some configuration on the router to enable wireless devices to hit the address when connecting via WiFi?
