Wireless client authenticated, but no IP assigned

by dreamweaver404 . Updated 18 years, 10 months ago

Scenario:

I am trying to setup wireless network using 3Com AP2750 & WX Controller (with 6 port). The Radius server is IAS, and the user database is using Microsoft Active Directory (AD). Once authenitcated, wireless client will be assigned IP (DHCP) automatically by DHCP server. All three – the IAS, AD and DHCP are residing in the same server (same domain).

In wireless controller, only 1 Vlan available (VLan 1).

Issue:

Wireless client able to associate to wifi network and login is successful (login is automatic using Windows login name/password). Unfortunately, no client is unable to grab/being assigned with any DHCP IP.

I am not sure if this is due to IAS/AD credential authentication failure or IAS/AD and DHCP communication error.

However, if I connect the laptop via wired to the wireless controller port, I am able to login, assigned an IP, and ping/access everywhere in the network.

Appreciate all suggestions and advise!
