Wireless DHCP dead after SSH Sentinal

By lstafford ·
I use a Dell D800 with the Truemobile 1300 MPCI Wireless card. I installed the SSH Sentinal 1.3.2 VPN Client for remote access to several different IPSec endpoints. The IPSec tunneling is working great. I used the SSH software because it allows DDNS endpoints instead of IP's the the Windows utility is limited to. The wired NIC in my laptop will get a DHCP lease without a problem but the Wireless will see and connect to the AP but it will not get a DHCP IP address. I have installed an update driver for the Wireless from Dell, reset the TCPIP protocol using the: netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt command. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Wireless NIC. How, and can the IPSec SSH client software effect DHCP. I cannot unistall the client software, it is very useful. Where to go from here?

Has anyone disabled dhcp on the ap\router.

Try giving the laptop a static ip and see what happens. Just make sure you point dns to the gateway of ap\router.

The DHCP in the AP is off and I have attempted to set a static address as well in the laptop with all of the correct settings that my desktop with a static IP uses (except the last number)
