I have a Qwest 2701HG-D DSL modem with wireless enabled on an XP and Vista machine. All of the sudden in the past 2 months it will drop connection from minimum 10 minutes and longer. I have had the modem replaced, changed the channel and power settings on the modem. I do not have a telephone/cordless within 3 feet of the modem or any other microwave device. The Ethernet connections work fine but the 2 wireless PC’s drop connection. One is Vista on wireless and the other is XP on wireless. I have no viruses, trojan, maleware, spyware on these computers. Vista is a new internal wireless card and XP is wireless new built into the laptop. My ISP is not dropping the signal.
What on earth can be causing me to loose my wireless signal? My network is set up WEP with key.
I really need your over the top tech guru answers on this one. Any suggestions?
