Wireless laptop overseas

By banzilla ·
One of the principals of our company is going to be in the UK over the next few weeks. If he buys a laptop with a pentium M processor will he be able to connect to access points while out of the country.

I can not imagine why it would not work, just had to ask.

thanks
Sam

Just make sure he has the right ac adapter setup. Sometimes it is as simple as having a plug adapter.

How does he access your network, via dial-up? If so, he is going to need a UK telephone adaptor.

The question is, Will a laptop with a wireless card that works in most hotspost in the US, work in the UK?

Yes, the 3G network cards work in over 150 countries, including all Europe.
He will need an account with an appropriate ISP, in order to have a number to connect to. My company uses Orange, who give us good connection and coverage throughout the UK.
