Wireless link work groups 1000 yards

by old-flyer . Updated 20 years, 3 months ago

One of my customers would like high speed service at his office, however, there is no reasonable service provider. Now they do have DSL at the home some 1000 yards away and I would like to setup a wireless link between the two. The standard equipment Linksys, d-link, netgear and so on don’t provide enough range. First, I want to see if I am thinking correctly with regard to the configuration. An AP or wireless router at the end where the DSL exist. Then I’m not sure what to use at the remote site. (Bridge, AP, ????)It would be some device that I connect to the multiport switch located at the remote site. Second who makes equipment that is capable of enough power to link that distance.
