    Hello Wireless Gurus,

    Please let me know your thoughts on the following:
    How can you provide security to wireless LAN besides setting up MAC filters?

      1? Turn on the 128-bit Web encryption.
      2. Turn on the access control lists.
      3? Change the SS ID name of the base station, denying the hacker information about the manufacturer’s name and all the known weaknesses tied to that station.
      4? Use third-party encryption, such as IPSec, to tunnel traffic. You can download this document from the download page at Techrepublic.

      Also Disable SSID broadcasts.

      I would also try and limit the range of the access point to the masimum needed. This can be achived by setting it a little lower on shelves, or putting it next to metal.
