Wireless Network Connections - can I transfer them to new computer?

By carole ·
We have many users who get new laptops and many have multiple wireless network connections set up for various clients and hotspots. Is there any way I can transfer all settings, including keys to a new computer or drive? I've researched and reviewed Windows Transfer Wizard and can't find anything. Users are complaining they don't know there wireless settings and obviously the IT guy/gal gets blamed. Thanks in advance.

Don't think so

to do it you would have to manually enter them in each computer and for that you would need to know the encryption type and key for each connection

Can I transfer network connections from an external Hard drive?

by jamesFonda In reply to Wireless Network Connecti ...

I just move from Vista 32bit to Windows7 64bit and forgot to migrate all of my wireless network connections and passwords over. I go to a lot of cafes to study and don't want to have to input all of these again.I have backups of my Vista system on an external hard drive. Any idea where my wireless connections and their passwords would be located and how I might move them all to my Windows7 system?
