Wireless network woes in XP

creating a wireless network, everything is fine as far as internet sharing and seeing the other PCs in the my network places, but as soon as you attempt to access one it asks for a password. No passwords were created in the configuration of this network except the encryption key.
Where is this password and where did it come from?
