Wireless networking in Windows 2000

We are setting up a five machine wireless network using:

A) one Dell TM1184 wireless broadband router and B) 4 (four) Dell TM1180 USB wireless adapters.

I expected that Windows 2000 would recognize everything (yes, fed them them the drivers)and the network setup would be relatively painless. That’s why I had Windows 2000 Professional installed on all units. Unfortunately, like most other things, it aint being as painless as I would like….

Any tips from the membership on setting up the network (haven’t made it talk yet – my first wireless gig) and security?
