I’ve just begun setting up a rackmount PC and am going to have to remote access it, because there is no monitor/keyboard.
I’ve just:
plugged in everything
Given the PC’s wireless card a IP address
sat my laptop next to it a YES wireless is detected and connected. (but cannot ping/file access, etc)
Now:
-they are running in adhoc mode, but I’m able setup the PC in AP mode– is it ok to leave it as is?
-PC is windows 2000 and laptop is XP- just opened Remote desktop from the laptop and it doesn’t work. does win2000 use remote desktop?
Need to be able to remote desktop the PC from the laptop- can remote desktop work, or will i need another VNC utility?
If you can help me, could you please provide me with steps or a website that will help me set it up/ especially if i need to use a VNC utility.
