I have a cable modem, 5 port Gigabit Switch and a wireless N (w/ non gigabit switch). I have the ethernet cable coming from the modem to the gigabit switch and then a crossover cable going to the WAN port on the wireless router. If I am connected to the wireless then I get the internet fine. But if i am connected to the gigabit switch via ethernet then no dice. What is the issue here because obviously the gigabit switch is getting connectivity or the wireless router could not provide me with the internet. Right?
What is the issue here, I’m ready to experience gigabit speed!
