wireless router - newbie question

hi i like to know about wireless router by taking D-Link DI-724P+ for example, or any wireless router/AP should do!

1) how many concret walls will the connection be able to pass thru? and will the connection be stable one after another (wall)

2) how many computers will be able to connected at once? max connection?

im very thankful to hear any responses, thanks!

Hello...

Answers:

1. Wireless networking does not pass through dense walls like concrete very well. You'll have to try it to see what kind of range you can get with your specific walls. The way around this is to add access points that carry the signal around your facility.

2. A wireless router/access point can theoretically support up to 255 connections (typical). But, in practice, you won't be able to get anywhere near that many ACTIVE sessions at once. Plan on 20-30 clients, only a few of which are active at any given time.
