Wireless router problem

By jwiz1 ·
I recently had to perform a total recovery on my computer. I'm not sure that has anything to do with the problem, but after I got everything back up and running I am now having a problem with my wireless router (netgear wgr614v6) When I boot up the computer the connection to the router is strong, but only lasts for a period of between 2-4 minutes when I lose the connection and it does not return until I again reboot. I've not seen this particular problem on any tech support sites can anyone help.

In your router settings you will see "connect on demand", you will need to Disable this setting so that it keeps the internet connection. Plus if it is a new router, you will need to update its firmware first.
