My PC is connected to a LAN and it’s connected to internet via a proxy server. I recently bought a USB WiFi adapter (RealTek RTL8188CU) to share my internet connection with my mobile phone. It came with a wireless utility programme which enables me to make my PC a hotspot. It worked fine when I used it with my Internet dongle but it won’t work on my PC. It detects the LAN adapter and creates a hotspot but it’s not connected to internet. Since the connection is through a proxy I tried using it with Proxifier and FreeCap too. but still the issue remains. And for the record my PC is still running on Windows XP SP2. How can I share the internet connection too? Pls help
