I run XP-SP2, IE7.
Having problem w/J2SE – can’t remove. Tried using Add/Remove program but get following:
Error 1316. A network error occurred while attempting to read the file C:/Windows/Installer/J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6.msi.
Also:
1)Key strokes don’t always take – sometimes letters don’t get entered until I hit key a second time.
2)Some gaming programs run very jerky.
3)Web pages using Java gives pop-up “The page you are viewing uses Java.” (Java(TM)6 update2 is installed and verified).
4) tried system restore but even that won’t work (“Unable to restore”)
I’ve run: RegistryFix, RegMech, Registry repair, SuperAntiSpyware, Windos Defender to no avail.
System used to work great but is now awful. No knew programs added (knowingly).
