WMPlayer7

By JTruitt ·
My operating system is Win ME. In the beginning I could play CDs in WMPlayer then it was giving me a message: WMplayer has caused an error in the MSISAMll.dll file it will now close. I can play other media files and go through file open to access the tracks, but it will not open when I select CD Audio it say it does not support that format or just remains dead. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the player and still cannot get it to perform right the MSISAMll.dll file message keeps surfacing.
Thank You

You may have inadvertantly installed another application which could hijack the association for CD Audio files...try resetting this association.

open explorer with a cdaudio disc inserted.

browse this CD, select any track, but do not open it, just highlight it.

hold the shift key down while rt clicking, and choose open with.

locate Mplayer, and put a check in the box below to always use this app for these files..

I hope this works, but again no garuntees, but it is easy to try...

good luck...

I finally fixed my WmPlayer 7.1 WMplayer has caused an error in the MSISAMll.dll file it will now close. I went to the MS Knowledge base. It initially said that certain wmp files can become corrupted and it told me to search a list of wmp and wmpl dll files etc. and rename them with the extension .old and go the wmplayer 7.1 download and download. I did that and now my WM player is working. The first time I think I missed a file went back renamed it download again and voila!
