Why does my Win 2K workstation intermittently get disconnected from our Win 2K server?

both windows 2000 and windows XP disconnect unused drives after a period of time. reinitiating a connection renables the connection. pretty much a "sleep" mode for your network drive connections.
It isnt a problem, its working as designed

what service pack level on the client? anybody else having this problem? what have you tried? there is an MSKB article (Q262497) about disconnects after clients resume from hibernation....maybe we can help with a little more to go on...?

check your connections if the NIC is damage, or the cable is broken or twisted

I get disconnected even when it's in use. My workstation has service pack 3
