Two users running Office Pro 2000 in a Windows 98 environment suddenly lost control of their File menu in Word 2000. What I mean is that when they click on the File menu, it will no longer drop down. All of the other menus still work, however. This is only happening in Word.
Things that I’ve tried:
1. I have run a full virus scan with the most recent virus definitions, but nothing was found.
2. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2000 Pro.
3. I have installed any necessary updates from the Microsoft updates website.
4. I have deleted all .tmp files
Why has this happened, and how can I fix it?
