Word 2000 Memory Error????

by mal4462 . Updated 24 years, 10 months ago

I am trying to use word and i get the follwing error message ‘There is not enough memory or disk space to complete the operation’ one day i could open multiple files, do page setups, etc with no trouble.
30 minutes later i can only load word with one document and it wont even let me change the page setup details. no matter what i do i get the error message. what ive tried…. unloading tsr’s,safe mode, memory increase, disk space clearance( over 1 gb spare), re-installing word , re-installing windows, words detect and repair, reducing the toolbars within word, checking the file length of file, ensuring swapfile is on c drive and has lots of space, ram, sram, dram is sufficient.disk repair clusters, scandisk, fix-it, etc),registry check and repair, i cannot understand what happened in that 30 minutes to suddenly make this happen but i tried a fresh install of word and win dows and that didnt fix it, so im stuck.
also, i have no virus.

Using Windows 98. Help Me.
