I have Microsoft Office 2003 Professional with XP Home OS. I have 1792 Ram Memory with 1.26GB available physical memory. It may be coincidental but it was shortly after the last month Windows Update and I also did two new installs on my computer. I installed Quickbooks and Adobe 8.0 Standard. My Office suite works perfect, but my wife’s Word program will only start in safe mode. When she tries to open a document, a dialog box pops up and says “Word failed to start last time, do you want to start in safe mode?”. It works ok in safe mode but it’s not the same anymore and what a hassle. I have tried suggesstions from Microsoft data base but no solution as yet. Does anyone have a suggesstion for a solution for my problem? I have used Symantec on this computer for the last 5 years without any problems. I mention this since I was told that could be the problem, but why now after all these years? and why for only one user?
