I’m getting office 2007 documents with embedded excel tables. These documents are saved as 97-2003 versions from word 2007. When I open them in word 2003 I can view the document, but when I try to edit the table I get the following error.
This object was creaated in excel. this application is not available to open this object. Make sure the application is properly installed and that it has not been deleted, moved or renamed.
Office 2003 is running on WinXPpro sp2, I’ve seen the same error on multiple machines. Most of the machines have the 2007 compatibility pack installed.
I’ve seen there are some issues with Norton anti-virus but I’m using McAfee.
Anyone run into this and found a solution?
