Word 2010 prints wrong range of pages

By swanderson2676 ·

I recently moved to Office 2010 from 2003 and am trying to print a word document of multiple pages. The document has seven pages in it and I only want to print pages 1-5 of that document. So I go to print range and type in 1-5 to print all pages from page 1 to page 5. What I get is pages 1-7.

I tried 0-4 and it printed 1-6. I also tried 1,2,3,4,5 and it printed 1-7 again.

I created a new document and filled 7 pages and tried to print 1-5 and it worked great. So now I'm thinking it could be a Office 2003 to 2010 incompatibility or something.

If anyone has any ideas I would be extremely grateful.

This sounds like a Formating problem

That has been carried over from the older version of Office to the new version.

The solution though Time Consuming is to recreate the Documents in the new Format of the new Application. Personally if you need to print the entire document there shouldn't be an issue so you only need to recreate the ones where they need to be Part Printed.

Several sections?

Does the document have several sections, where the page numbering starts over?
