Word closes unexpectedly when printing

We are running windows 2000 sp4, office 2000 sp3. We use word and standard windows printer drivers and the ms shared fax. Frequently when printing word will close out unexpectedly. Any one know of any issues with this? This usually happens if we cancel the fax wizard and then try to print, and also happens when we click on the favorites list within word. Help!
