When setting up the Excel database on a mailmerge document, Word gives the following message:
“The task is taking longer than expected. Do you want to continue waiting?”
If I say yes, goes aganin for few minutes. If I say no, I get the following error:
“Word could not re-establish a DDE connection to Microsoft Excel complete the current task”
I have uninstalled Excel and reinstalled but it didn’t fix it. If I use Word database the mail merge works.
