Word Dr. Watson error

By jlopez ·
I get the following when I open word in office 2000 prof:

An application error has occurred and an application error is being generated
Winword.exe
Exception: access violation ( 0xc0000005), Address 0x30905909

I have removed & reloaded Office 2000 prof.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jim

Hello,

This may be off the wall, have you checked the ram cards to see if they may are defective. You may also have a leaking issue where Word loses the memory allotted to it and when other services or programs require memory it takes from Word and thus causing word to open.

Just a thought, might help you find an answer.

Good Luck

How old and what make is your printer? If it using an older technology called Windows Printing System then there is your answer. Canon and NEC made a number fo these printers. Unfortunatley the drivers are not reilable in newer (>Win9 OS's.

If you use Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition and recently upgraded to 7.5, this could be your problem. Try uninstalling the virus software and reinstalling it.

Good Luck
